Assorted pastries

 Mille feuille or Napoleon, is a crunchy and sweet combination of layers of puff pastry filled with creme pastissiere (pastry cream) and topped with almond creme chantilly (whipped cream) and fresh strawberries.
 Boughasha (baked cigar pastries) is an Egyptian dessert that consists of phyllo dough rolled up with walnuts and glazed with a delicious rose water syrup.
 Baklava is another arabic dessert. Claimed by the Lebanese, is it probably the most popular dessert in and outside of the arab countries conquered by the ottoman empire. Every arab country has their own variation, and this is my own. This one consists of phyllo dough filled with chopped pistachios and covered in a orange and cardamom syrup.
 Palmiers or elephant ears is a sweetened puff pastry rolled up and baked to create a crunchy, delicious and very portable dessert.
 Almond croissants. Crispy and sweet these tasty croissants are filled with creme d'amades (almond creme) and sprinkled with confectioner's sugar. Perfect for breakfast, brunch or just to munch!
 Apple galettes before hitting the oven.
 Apple galettes. Puff pastry  with a light frangipane spread and topped with fresh apple slices that caramelize to perfection once in the oven. One word: heavenly!
